When Jack Lepiarz isn't anchoring WBUR's news coverage, he his practicing his whip-cracking skills under the alter-ego "Jack The Whipper."

Jack has been cracking whips since he was about seven years old after learning the trade from his father, he told judges during his audition earlier this week. Over the years, Jack says he's learned "all the different whip cracks you can do," and he wasn't shy about showing them off on the AGT stage.

He felt it was necessary show the judges just how precise a whip can be. So, when it came time to select one to volunteer, Jack chose none other than Simon Cowell who so kindly gave him an "X" just before going on stage.

As punished for his stance, Jack forced Cowell to take a new one as he crouch with a target in between his legs. Jack then perfectly sliced the target in half.

The stunt was enough for Simon to rescind his "X" and let Jack advance. You can watch his full act by clicking here
